I have been Honorary Keeper since 1982 of the picture collection at Burghley House, the largest & finest collection of 17th century Italian paintings in the UK. From 1982-4 I designed and oversaw the complete re-hanging of the collection in both the State rooms open to the public, as well as the Private Apartments, involving in excess of a thousand pictures.
